It’s Monday!! 😀
Okay, so maybe not everyone is excited about Mondays as I am. I get it, the weekend is over, it’s back to work, or school, or whatever other responsibilities you might have. However, you know you’re going to have to go through Monday anyway, so you might as well make it a bit better by getting excited and having a positive attitude about it! It’s a WHOLE new week that YOU can do anything with!!
To spread some positivity, I put together a list of motivational quotes that are some of my favorites to kickstart Mondays!
1. “A Positive Day Starts with A Positive Mindset.”
Like I said earlier, life is about your mindset. When you wake up, SMILE, do something that makes you feel happiness. This will set the tone for your day as you get up and start getting ready. I once read that my favorite actress, Shailene Woodley, starts off her day by shouting out, “Good morning! Good morning! Exciting day! Exciting day!” You don’t have to go THAT far if it’s not for you, but think of something that IS for you and do it!
2. “I Love the Smell of Possibility In the Morning.”
It’s another day and another opportunity for ANYTHING to happen. You decide! Some days I decide to start my day off with a morning jog, other days by eating leftover spaghetti. You could go to work, to the movies, or to the zoo. Or maybe all three in one day. You can ask for a raise or ask for a date. You can go to the shelter and get a puppy or you can decide to have breakfast for dinner. These options might seem weird, but my point is you can literally decide what happens in your day. You may have obligations like going to work or school, but remember these are CHOICES. You are CHOOSING to do these things because you want an education or you want money. So choose to do everything you want in your day and enjoy it 🙂
3. “One part at a time, one day at a time, we can accomplish any goal we set for ourselves.” — Karen Casey
Now that you’re filled with this positive energy and great enthusiasm, it’s time to decide the steps that you want to take towards achieving your goals. It’s Monday, and you have a full week ahead of you. Decide what part of your goal you’re trying to achieve this week. Decide what you’re going to do each day to get you one step closer. I like to setup goals of things I want to get done each day and also by the end of the week. This ensure that you stay on track and gives you things to get excited and work towards!
4. “It is up to you to see the beauty of everyday magic.”
This quote I’m adding in to remind us to be grateful. There’s a longer quote that really stuck out to me that I want to include because I know it’s easy to be grateful for the happy things, but we should really just be grateful for all of LIFE.”You may not see it today or tomorrow, but you will look back in a few years and be absolutely perplexed and awed by how every little thing added up and brought you somewhere wonderful– or where you always wanted to be. You will be grateful that things didn’t work out the way you once wanted them to.” Be thankful for every day you have because it truly is a gift. Treat it with a humble and thankful heart and you’ll notice things start getting a bit better. 🙂
