So, recently I learned about these cool little things called Egg Weights that help you lose weight. I love staying up to date with new workout equipment to help me stay fit and healthy, so I decided to try these out. I used them while I was out for a jog and also during one of my Taekwondo kicking workouts and LOVED THEM! What I found even cooler was when I got home from my jog, my mom asked me about these Egg Weights and I explained to her what they were. She loved the idea and wanted to immediately steal them from me (haha) to use herself. I love finding cool things like these because they help motivate all kinds of people to workout and lead healthier lives. You don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from these!! I’ll explain below…
First thing, What Are Egg Weights?!? On the photo above I’m holding an Egg Weight in each hand. They’re ergonomic palm centered weights that have rubber grips around them to help hold them. This is important because you have to hold them while you exercise and if you’re like me, your palms get pretty sweaty after holding on to something for a while.
The next big question is, how do these small little eggs Help You Lose Weight? These eggs come in different weights, from 3/4 to 1.5 pounds, which I found perfect because they’re easy enough to hold on to during any activity. You can go walking, running, hiking, or pretty much any exercise you can think of and the added weight helps you burn extra calories. I like these better than holding on to traditional dumbbells because the weight is even and comfortable- it just sits in the palm of your hand.
And lastly- How Do You Use Them? So, technically the website says you can use them while you run, walk, or hike, but I used them during one of my trainings 😀
I love having a fun little way of burning some extra calories during my workout. Plus, they fit so comfortably you don’t even notice you’re holding them! I also like the fact that it reminds me to keep my hands closed when I’m kicking… I may have broken a finger in the past from getting lazy and leaving them open. :/ Haha.
In the end, I really like these Egg Weights and I’ll keep using them during my trainings. Leave me a comment below if you try them out or can think of any other cool ways to use them, I’d love to know!
